We saw this house as well. It was VERY small inside. You could literally throw a ball across the house without even trying. While it sits on a very nice-sized piece of property, renovations to expand the house would be prohibitive, except perhaps to add a room over the garage to expand the master suite. The prior owner(s) should have expanded the back of the house, rather than simply drop a cheap, mosquito-netted enclosed deck. Other houses in the neighborhood have much more substantial additions that greatly expand their living space, and justify an asking price of $749k. A year or so ago, a very nice colonial in Bedfordshire with more main floor living space and a full basement, with even more land, went for somewhere around $760k.
ReplyDeleteI think your analysis is right on target. Although the home is small, it shows beautifully. Much of what is selling in Potomac currently, is at $750K and below. This home has a nice lot, is in a great location, good schools and SHOWS BEAUTIFULLY. I am curious to see what the final sales price will be. Thanks for the comments.
